Julia is a hands-on costume designer, and passionate sewist. She is drawn to historical costuming, but loves any opportunity to to tell a story through clothing. She thrives during the collaborative process and under deadlines.
After earning her bachelors in Theater, Film, and Dance from Humboldt State University, she spent nearly a decade in Los Angeles. Now located in beautiful Southern Oregon, she spends her time collecting mushrooms for eating, and for dyeing yarn.
Her latest endeavors are reviving Edwardian cutting manuals and learning the ins-and-outs of her flatbed knitting machine.
